IOWA 5TH DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE MIKE DENKLAU TO CAST HIS BALLOT IN COUNCIL BLUFFS
Council Bluffs, IA – June 7, 2010 – Mike Denklau, who is running to unseat Republican Representative Steve King in Iowa’s 5th Congressional District, will cast his ballot in Council Bluffs for Iowa’s primary elections on Tuesday, June 8.
Denklau will cast his ballot at the Peterson Center in Council Bluffs. Denklau will spend the rest of his day canvassing and phone-banking with his staff to get out the vote.
Asked why it is important to vote, Denklau replied:
“I believe that voting is one of our most sacred rights, and it is the duty of responsible and patriotic American citizens interested in our nation’s longevity. One of the reasons our political system has become so polarized is that so few Americans vote in the Primary elections. This is why my campaign has been focused on not only informing western Iowans about me, but to also encourage them to vote.”
